Heceta Head Lighthouse

Heceta Head Lighthouse sits on a
bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean
In May of 2018, we drove up part of the Oregon coast and camped just outside of Florence. While there, we visited Heceta Head Lighthouse.

Construction began in 1892, and in March of 1894 it began operations, utilizing a 392-prism, first order Fresnel lens. It is now the brightest beacon on the Oregon coast. Its light can be seen over 20 miles away.

Hope you enjoy our video!
